Livingston Firefighters Battle Bonnyview Drive Blaze

Livingston firefighters successfully extinguished a roaring house fire at an unoccupied Bonnyview Drive residence on Wednesday night.

Livingston, NJ – Livingston firefighters successfully battled a roaring house fire at an unoccupied Bonnyview Drive residence on Wednesday night.

According to the Livingston Fire Department, the blaze took place at a 2.5 story, wood-frame home at 26 Bonnyview Drive around 10:53 p.m.

On arrival, firefighters encountered “fire showing from all floors,” Livingston Fire Chief Christopher Mullin told Patch.

“Fire crews were ordered to initiate a defensive-exterior attack with master stream hand lines,” Mullin said. “Livingston’s Truck Company 1 was set up and deployed master streams from their elevated platform above the fire.”

The LFD response included the fire chief, assistant chief, three deputy chiefs, four engine companies, one ladder truck and one rescue truck.

Since the residence was under construction, there were no occupants at the time of the blaze, Mullin said.

There were no reported injuries reported and the fire remains under investigation.
