Livingston Firefighters Put Out Jewelry Store Blaze
Livingston firefighters extinguished a blaze at Celeste Jewelers on South Livingston Avenue, authorities say.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston firefighters extinguished a blaze at Celeste Jewelers on South Livingston Avenue last weekend, authorities say.
The Saturday fire temporarily shut down South Livingston Avenue between East Cedar Street and Wilson Terrace, Livingston police said.
South Livingston Avenue was reopened around 11 a.m., police said.

The initial report about the fire came into LFD headquarters as an automatic fire alarm alert, Livingston Fire Chief Christopher Mullin told TAP Into Livingston.

On arrival, firefighters found flames in the store’s ceiling and smoke in the area, Mullin said.
Arriving fire crews then extinguished the fire in the ceiling, containing the damage to the ceiling above the showroom floor, Mullin said.
