Niche.com rates the best public institutions in New Jersey.

In a recently released report, Niche.com named Livingston High School as the 29th best public high school in New Jersey.
Niche.com evaluates U.S. and Puerto Rican schools based on parent and student reviews. The site reported that parent/student surveys gave the school an “A+” overall grade.
According to the report, the school received “A+” grades in academics, administration and policies, educational outcomes, resources and facilities and teachers. The school received “A” grades in extracurriculars, food, health and safety and sports/fitness.

The school received its lowest grade – a “B-” rating – in student culture/diversity.
The website uses a detailed set of methods to rank the top 100 schools in New Jersey. The site collected 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 New Jersey students and parents.

According to Niche.com, a high overall ranking includes the following criteria:
- Students are very happy with their experience in all aspects including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurriculars, sports, and fitness;
- District schools are exceptional academic institutions in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes;
- District schools are made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture;
- Students are actively involved in a variety of extracurriculars and sports the district offers.
