Livingston to Host Annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday

The township's garbage and recycling schedule will change for the holiday.

Livingston will hold its annual Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 25.

According to a release, at 9:30 a.m. on the Oval, there will be a commemorative service for those who have died defending the United States. Following the ceremony, the parade will begin at 10 a.m.

The parade will head north on South Livingston Avenue toward the Town Center, ending at Congressional Way.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremonial service will be held at the Livingston High School Auditorium.

According to a release, there will be no garbage collection in the township on Monday, May 25.

Residents whose normal garbage collection day is Monday will have their garbage picked up on their next regularly scheduled day, Thursday, May 28.

Recycling will not be collected on Monday, May 25, and recycling collection will move forward one day all week. Therefore, Monday’s recycling will instead be picked up on Tuesday, 5/26; Tuesday’s recycling moves to Wednesday, 5/27 pickup; Wednesday’s recycling moves to Thursday, 5/28; Thursday’s recycling moves to Friday, 5/29; and Friday’s recycling will instead be picked up on Saturday, 5/30.
