Livingston Man Injured After Exiting Moving Vehicle On I-287: Police

A Livingston resident is in serious condition after exiting a moving car on I-287 on Saturday, police said.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The New Jersey State Police said a Livingston resident is in serious condition after exiting a moving car on I-287 on Saturday, causing a traffic tie-up.

Trooper Charles Marchan said that Saturday around 5:57 p.m., a Kenworth tractor pulling a flatbed trailer was traveling southbound on I-287 in Riverdale Boro. In the area of mile post 53.2, a 27-year-old male passenger from Livingston "exited the vehicle while it was in motion and impacted the roadway, resulting in serious injuries," police said.

This incident remains under investigation and there is no further information available, Trooper Marchan said.
