Livingston PD Will Bring Back Annual Junior Police Academy For 2026

Here's how to sign up for the Livingston Police Department's seventh Junior Police Academy.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Livingston Police Department. Find out how to post announcements or events to your local Patch site.

The Livingston Police Department will be holding its seventh Junior Police Academy this summer.

This fun, week-long program offers students entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in fall 2026 a glimpse into the world of law enforcement. Through presentations from various agencies, field trips, hands-on activities, and physical training, participants will learn what it takes to be a police officer.

The academy will run from July 13 to July 17, from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Livingston residents can apply starting March 2, with a deadline of March 27. A $100 fee will be charged per attendee. Space is limited to 60 students, so early registration is encouraged.
