Livingston Police Investigating Crash of Bus and Two Trucks
One bus rider had minor injuries following an accident early Monday morning.

Livingston police are investigating the cause of an early Monday morning bus and truck crash that took place.
According to Det. Sgt. Anthony Dippold of the Livingston Police Department, the accident happened at around 7:45 a.m. near 570 Mt. Pleasant Ave. when a New Jersey Transit bus, which had paused at a bus stop, was hit from behind by an electrical truck and a poultry company truck.
A bus passenger, a man from Highland Park, complained of neck and shoulder injuries. He was taken to Saint Barnabas Medical Center for treatment, Dippold said. No other injuries were reported.

The driver of the poultry truck, James Ryan, of Bayville, told police the brakes on the truck failed.
The accident remains under investigation. Summones have not yet been issued, Dippold said.
The right lane was closed to traffic for an hour while the police cleared the accident and the two trucks were towed, according to Livingston police. The New Jersey transit bus was put out of commission.
