Livingston Police Link Car Stolen From Belleville To 2 Burglaries
A car stolen from Belleville is being linked to two burglaries that took place in Livingston, authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A car stolen from Belleville is being linked to two burglaries that took place in Livingston, authorities announced Tuesday.
According to the Livingston Police Department, the vehicle – a grey Audi A5 – was reported stolen out of Belleville. Four juveniles were arrested in the stolen Audi in Newark on Monday.
An investigation continues, authorities said.

Livingston police released the following details about the two burglaries that took place in their township, both of which were reported on April 15:
- 8:25 a.m. – “Livingston officers responded to Bear Brook Lane on a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle. Upon officers’ arrival, the homeowner stated that their video surveillance cameras captured two masked suspects entering his vehicle and it appears that the only proceeds of the burglary was a phone charger. The actual time of the burglary appears to be approximately 2:45 a.m.”
- 2:30 p.m. – Livingston officers responded to Cedar Commons on a report of a motor vehicle burglary. Cedar Commons management reported that there were multiple suspects seen on video surveillance entering parked motor vehicles at approximately 1:30 a.m. Proceeds of the burglaries include a cell phone charger and a pair of sunglasses.”
