Livingston Police Make First Narcan Save

Officers used a Narcan kit to revive an overdosing heroin user on Wednesday.

Livingston police made their first “Narcan save” on Wednesday, when they reportedly revived a victim suffering from a possible heroin overdose.

According to police, on arrival at the scene of the potential overdose, two officers found the victim “unconscious and barely breathing.”

“Using the Narcan kit, which is used to reverse the effects of an opiate overdose, the victim was revived and conscious by the time the ambulance arrived on scene,” police stated in a social media post.

The victim was subsequently transported to the hospital for further treatment.
