They headed to a Stratford Drive home and found a stolen BMW parked outside. Then, they saw intruders "fleeing in the homeowner's stolen Porsche." The BMW left too.

Livingston officers pursued both vehicles out of town and the suspects fled the area, they said.

Police noted, "Further investigation revealed that the actors entered the residence through a rear window and stole the keys to the Porsche and then stole the vehicle. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating both the Rosewood Court and Stratford Drive incidents."

Two Other Home Break-Ins

On Friday, at 11:38 a.m., Livingston officers responded to a South Livingston Ave home on a report of a burglary. A resident showed them that the rear slider to the residence had been smashed and someone appeared to have gotten in. But nothing was stolen or damaged inside, they said.

On Saturday, Sept. 9, at 9:46 p.m., police responded to a burglary report on Cornell Drive. Homeowners said they had returned home and observed a suspicious vehicle pull away from the residence.

When they got inside, they found that someone had gotten in through a rear window, and the bedrooms were ransacked. The homeowners are compiling a list of stolen items, police said.
