Livingston Police Searching For Con Man Who Stole Jewelry From Resident

The thief convinced the Livingston woman to let him in her home Wednesday by claiming he was a water department employee, police said.

A thief conned his way into a Livingston resident’s home, by pretending to be a water department employee, then stole jewelry from the woman, police said.

The victim, who lived in the area of Winston and Stratford drives, allowed the man into her home Wednesday afternoon because he told her he was checking for low water pressure in the area, police said.

The thief is described as a white man, who was about 5 feet 6 inches tall, and in his early 20s. He spoke with a slight accent, wore a hat, sunglasses and boots, and drove a gray SUV-type vehicle.
