The Livingston Police Department is unveiling its fifth edition of law enforcement trading cards. The cards were last produced in 2016 so now there is a new generation of children who have yet to experience the excitement of collecting the cards.

The 74-card set commemorates the officers who were serving during the 100th anniversary of the police department in 2023. On the front, the cards will feature photos of Livingston police officers performing their duties or enjoying one of their hobbies. On the reverse side, the card will have the officer’s biographical data and a safety message.

The goal of this program is to reach out to as many children as possible and get the message out to them in a format in which they can identify while creating communication and trust. This program creates a productive dialogue between the community and police officers because children will be encouraged to approach an officer in order to collect the officer’s trading card.
