Livingston Police Warn About Possible ‘Newspaper Note’ Scam

"Apparently it is not coming from the actual delivery person," Livingston police stated.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston police recently warned town residents about a possible scam involving someone purporting to be a newspaper delivery person.

According to the Livingston Police Department, officers received multiple calls on Friday regarding an unusual request for a “monetary gift” for a delivery person that some residents have found in their newspapers over the last few days.

“Apparently it is not coming from the actual delivery person, but is a scam,” Livingston police stated. “If you receive any type of a note requesting money, please confirm the authenticity of it before you decide to send.”
