According to a news release from the Livingston Police Department:

“This is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.”

For the first time, the Livingston Police Department will be participating in Project 365 through the National Association of Town Watch, an effort by police departments to expand on the goals of National Night Out and create a plan to make the community a safer and more desirable place to live.

The goal of the Livingston Police Department will be to expand the number of Neighborhood Watch groups with the township, officials said.
