Livingston Police Will Hold Community Block Party: Food, Rides, Family Friendly Activities

The Livingston Police Department is pleased to announce its Third Annual Community Block Party, happening on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. at the Oval. This year's event promises to be even bigger and better, by once again bringing together three long-standing community traditions. The Police Department is teaming up with Youth Appreciation Week's Family Fun Festival and the Livingston Fire Department's Annual Open House to present an event meant to foster stronger ties between neighbors and law enforcement, building a true sense of community.

The community gathering will feature an incredible array of free, family-friendly activities, including a petting zoo, craft tent, pony rides, chalk walk, demonstrations from robotics programs and a touch-a-truck experience. There will also be free food and soft drinks, rides, carnival games, giveaways, balloon twisting, fun face painting, and exciting law enforcement displays. Attendees will have the chance to explore Livingston Fire Department fire trucks, Livingston First Aid Squad ambulances and witness a live extrication demonstration.

"Strong police-community partnerships are built on trust and open communication," said Chief Gary Marshuetz. "Events like our Block Party give us a fantastic opportunity to interact with residents of all ages in a relaxed, friendly setting. We're proud to partner with Youth Appreciation Week and our fellow first responders once again."
