Livingston Preps For Snowstorm: Schools, Roads, Town Offices
Livingston is preparing for a possible snowstorm. Catch up on local info for schools, roads and township offices.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — As the weather forecast keeps getting sour for what may be the biggest snowstorm to hit New Jersey this season, Livingston residents are also getting ready for the worst.
On Tuesday, Livingston Public School officials issued the following advisory:
"Governor Murphy has declared a State of Emergency beginning this evening at 8:00 p.m. Livingston Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, March 7, due to the impending storm. All programs and activities are also canceled. Elementary School Parents: Please check your email for detailed information regarding the re-scheduling of partial days and conferences."

Due to the anticipated weather conditions, all Livingston municipal buildings and properties will be closed on Wednesday, March 8, town officials said.

According to Livingston town officials:
- All municipal roads will be salted and cleared throughout the storm
- Road clearing will continue well after the snow ends
- Residents should stay off roads during the storm
- Residents should not shovel or blow snow into the street
- Residents should clear snow from any fire hydrants near their homes
- Residents need to clear their sidewalks within 24 hours of when the snow stops falling
- Motorists should clear snow off their vehicles before driving
