Livingston Man Wanted For Threat Of 'Violence' In Newark: Police
Police issued an arrest warrant for a Livingston man after he allegedly threatened someone with a "crime of violence" in Newark.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Authorities issued a warrant for the arrest of a Livingston man on Monday after he allegedly threatened another man in Newark earlier this month.
The incident took place around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 12 on the 200-block of Lyons Avenue in Newark, according to the Newark Department of Public Safety (NDPS).
Police said that Max Perlmutter, 80, and the victim – a man in his 30s – had a “verbal confrontation” and that Perlmutter threatened him with “a crime of violence.” Additional details about the nature of the alleged threat or the cause of the argument weren’t immediately available.

After the victim reported the threat to police, detectives issued a warrant for Perlmutter’s arrest. He was still at large as of Tuesday. An investigation continues, authorities said.
“While police are actively searching for Perlmutter, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him,” the NDPS stated.

Authorities described Perlmutter as 6 feet and 185 pounds with gray eyes and hair. (See below photo)
