Why Participate?
The census does more than just count people.
The results of the 2020 Census will determine the number of House of Representative seats each state has and, in turn, the number of delegates for each state in the Electoral College. Once determined, these numbers will remain in effect for elections from 2022 through 2030.
Census results also help determine where federal programs will direct their funding for roads, hospitals, emergency services, schools and more.
Census Workers in Your Neighborhood

They will never ask for personal or identifying information such as a Social Security number, bank or credit card number. They are following all masking and social distancing protocols and all state and local requirements with regard to health and safety.
