Governor Murphy stated on Tuesday, May 12 that the State has 800-900 contact tracers statewide and will need at least 1,000 to build its Community Contact Tracing Corps.
Contact tracing is a full-time commitment given the training requirement and access to various necessary systems. In order to work effectively, the State will be scheduling people 7 days a week between 8 am – 8 pm, but not to exceed 35 hours per week at $25 per hour.
