Livingston School District Ranked in Top 20 Best in New Jersey

The Livingston school district has been named the 17th best school district in the state of New Jersey. The district largely received great rankings across the board, resembling the type of report card parents love seeing from their children.

Niche.com is dedicated to evaluating U.S. and Puerto Rican schools based on parent and student reviews. The site reported that parent/student surveys gave the Livingston school district an overall school of 3.6 out of 5.

Livingston teachers received an A+ as did its academics and educational outcomes. The district also received six A’s, including administration and policies, extracurriculars, food, health and safety, resources and facilities and sports and fitness. The school district didn’t fare as well in the student culture and diversity category, receiving just a B-.

The website uses a very detailed set of methods to rank the top 100 schools in New Jersey. The site collected 4.6 million opinions from 280,000 New Jersey students and parents.

According to Niche.com, a high overall ranking includes the following criteria:

• Students are very happy with their experience in all aspects including academics, teachers, health, safety, resources, facilities, extracurriculars, sports, and fitness;
• District schools are exceptional academic institutions in terms of teachers, students, resources for learning, and student outcomes;
• District schools are made up of a diverse population and fosters an accepting, positive school culture;
• Students are actively involved in a variety of extracurriculars and sports the district offers.
