LIVINGSTON, NJ — A week of freezing temperatures and snowy roads is expected to culminate in a storm that will bring another 2-4 inches to North Jersey by the end of Friday, Jan. 19, forecasters said.

NWS forecasters said that the snow could affect the evening commute most, and included a powerpoint presentation about the storm here.

For Essex County, the 2-4 inches of snow was expected to fall. (See forecast updates here.)

Because the snow may not start to fall until school has started, several districts in the area have said school will close early, including Livingston, Millburn, and others.

Livingston wrote, "Dear Livingston Public Schools Community: Livingston Public Schools will have an early dismissal tomorrow, Friday, 1/19/2024 due to the predicted afternoon snow accumulation." All after-school and evening activities are canceled. (Check the website for updates, however.)
