Livingston Seeks Military Members, Veterans For ‘Hometown Heroes’ Program

The program is open to any current or former Livingston resident who served in any branch of the U.S. military.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston is rolling out a “Hometown Heroes” program to honor current and former residents who have served in the U.S. military.

According to a news release from the township:

“Through this program, the township will proudly display commemorative banners throughout town as a living tribute to the brave men and women of Livingston who have selflessly served our country. Each banner will celebrate a specific individual, featuring their name, photo (preferably in uniform), branch of service, and era of service. Each banner will be displayed for at least two years (November 2025 to 2027) or until it shows signs of wear, after which it will be returned to the sponsor.”

There will be a limit of 45 total banners during each program period. The next program period is scheduled to begin in 2028.
