Shoplifter Doesn't Get Far With Nordstrom Haul In Livingston: Police

The last week was quiet in Livingston crime-wise, but police did release two reports.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Police reports released in Livingston showed a relatively tame week, with two shoplifting incidents in the last six days.

Police said that officers responded at 4:36 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12 to Nordstrom Rack on Mount Pleasant Avenue on a report of a shoplifting.

When police arrived, they located a woman walking on Daven Avenue with the items.

They arrested a 53-year-old Newark woman and charged her with shoplifting, police said. She had $200 in merchandise, they said. She was released with a summons.

Also, on Monday at 11:43 a.m., police responded to the Watch Place at the Livingston Mall.

The owner said the kiosk was forced open and an unknown amount of items were swiped overnight. Police are investigating.
