Livingston Sluggers at SEC Home Run Derbies
Frank Schwindel and Melissa Pence particpate in contests.
Livingston bats were on fire Wednesday evening when the Super Essex Conference held its Baseball Home Run Derby contests.
Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium hosted the event, which featured some of the best batters from all over Essex County.
Frank Schwindel, Livingston's catcher, showed off his skill by hitting five home runs, totaling the total number hit by the other 23 batters.

As a result of is impressive performance, Schwindel was awarded the SEC Baseball Home Run Derby championship.
The festivities continued on Thursday night when the Softball Home Run Derby was held.

Senior Livingston captain and first baseman Melissa Pence represented the Lancers and was the final participant in the first round.
Despite her best efforts, Pence was unable to hit one out of the park. Nonetheless, the senior ends her high school softball career on a high note, as it was an honor alone to participate in the event.
Bloomfield's Sarah Prezioso took home the Softball Home Run Derby honors after clubbing a whopping five home runs in Round 1, followed by two in the second and final round.
