Livingston Students Send Chanukah Packages To Troops Overseas

It's always nice to see the fruit of your labor, especially when it touches the lives of others.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — It’s always nice to see the fruit of your labor, especially when it touches the lives of others.

In September, middle school students at Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy in Livingston put together Chanukah packages in commemoration of the yahrtzeit of Joseph Kushner z"l to be sent overseas to Jewish-American soldiers. The packages contained Chanukah treats, much-needed supplies and a personal note from each student.

Recently, the students got a smile-inducing photo of several soldiers thanking them for their effort.

“How amazing to see our packages in the hands of U.S. troops at the Army Base in Kuwait this Chanukah,” school administrators wrote.
