LIVINGSTON, NJ — There are few things more satisfying than knowing you’re appreciated at work. And when your “clients” are a school-full of elementary students, it makes a retirement send-off all the more poignant.
Staff and students at Harrison Elementary School in Livingston recently gave their beloved art teacher Dolly Mendes a retirement thank-you that she’ll remember for the rest of her life, gathering to sing her a farewell song in the school gymnasium.
The touching scene was captured on video, which the Livingston Public School system shared via YouTube earlier this week.
