Livingston Township Council To Honor Doris Beck At 3/22 Meeting

The Livingston Township Council will honor the late Doris Beck, former mayor and Township Council member, at the Monday, March 22 meeting beginning at 7 pm.

Doris Beck served on the Township Council from 1975 to 1982 and was mayor of Livingston in 1975 and 1978. She was the first woman to serve as mayor in Livingston and in Essex County and was one of the first in the state. Ms. Beck passed away in July of 2020.

A special panel will include her sons, Bruce Beck and Steven Beck. Also present for the tribute will be past female Council members and mayors of Livingston, among others.

The public is welcome to attend the virtual meeting via Zoom or watch the livestream on the Township's Facebook page. (No Facebook account is needed to view the livestream.)
