Many individuals are wearing masks and disposable gloves, as suggested by the CDC.

While these are helpful practices, they will only work when done properly -- and that includes proper removal and disposal in order to slow the spread of the disease.

NJ.com has shared a video demonstrating the proper way in which to remove disposable gloves to avoid possible further contamination.

Once gloves are removed, place them in a trash bin and wash your hands as soon as possible.

Remember: These gloves and masks are NOT recyclable. Do not place them in with recycling; doing so can actually spread the disease.
