Livingston Township Offices Closed For Holidays

All Township offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, for Christmas Day.

The Township of Livingston reminds residents of holiday closures and changes to the garbage and recycling collections schedules at the end of the year:

Christmas

All Township offices will be closed on Friday, December 25, 2020, for Christmas Day.

Friday, December 25 – Christmas Day: No garbage or recycling pickup.

Garbage for those with Tuesday/Friday pickup will be collected on the next regularly scheduled day, which is Tuesday, December 29.

Zone 5 Recycling collection will be picked up the next day — Saturday, December 26 — per the normal holiday schedule.

There will be no metal collection on Friday, December 25.

New Year’s Day

All Township offices will be closed on Friday, January 1, 2021, for New Year’s Day.

Friday, January 1 – New Year’s Day: No garbage or recycling pickup.

Garbage for those with Tuesday/Friday pickup will be collected on the next regularly scheduled day, which is Tuesday, January 5.

Zone 5 Recycling collection will be picked up the next day — Saturday, January 2 — per the normal holiday schedule.

Annual Reorganization Meeting

The annual Township Reorganization Meeting will be held virtually on Friday, January 1, 2021. All are invited to join in the event and swearing-in ceremony via Facebook Livestream or Zoom, at which Shawn R. Klein will become Livingston’s 2021 Mayor and Edward Meinhard will become Deputy Mayor. Details and information are available online here.

COVID-19

The numbers of cases of those with COVID-19 are continuing to rise. All are urged to continue to take precautions throughout this season: wear a mask, social distance 6 feet away, and wash hands often. Taking these simple precautions has been shown to significantly reduce transmission rates of the virus.
