Livingston Traffic: Resurfacing Slated For Multiple Essex County Roads

Several of Essex County's busiest roads are due for a facelift in 2016. See the list here.

Livingston, NJ - Several of Essex County’s busiest roads are due for a facelift this year, including several Livingston streets.

The Essex County Department of Public Works Division of Engineering released its 2016 Roadway Resurfacing Plan last week, which states that resurfacing is slated for county-maintained roads in 11 municipalities this year.

Essex County residents who want to request roadway repairs to county roads can fill out an online form here.

According to county documentation, the roads slated for resurfacing in 2016 include:

  • Franklin Avenue (Newark, Belleville) – Franklin Street to Joralemon Avenue
  • Centre Street (Nutley) – East Passaic Avenue to Franklin Avenue; Passaic Avenue to seam before Union Avenue
  • Walnut Street (Livingston) – Mt. Pleasant Avenue to Eisenhower Parkway; Eisenhower Parkway to South Orange Avenue
  • West Hobart Gap (Livingston) – Walnut Street to South Livingston Avenue/JFK Parkway
  • Passaic Avenue (Livingston, Millburn) – South Orange Avenue to Parsonage Hill Road; Parsonage Hill Road to county line
  • East Passaic Avenue (Bloomfield) – Bay Avenue/Valentine Road to Milton Avenue
  • Hoover Avenue (Bloomfield) – Joralemon Avenue to Valentine Road
  • Horseneck Road (Fairfield) – Plymouth Street to Fairfield Road
  • Clinton Avenue (Irvington) – Springfield Avenue to Parker Avenue
  • Clinton Road (West Caldwell) – Bloomfield Avenue to Passaic Avenue
  • Central Avenue (Caldwell, North Caldwell) – Bloomfield Avenue to Breenbrook Road
