In Livingston: Upcoming Performance to Feature Winner of 2015 Young Artist Competition

The Livingston Symphony Orchestra will put on its fourth concert of season, "Russian to the Finnish," on Saturday.

The Livingston Symphony Orchestra’s fourth concert of the season, “Russian to the Finnish,” will feature violinist Elizabeth Hendy, the 2015 winner of the Livingston Symphony Young Artist Competition.

Hendy, a Berkeley Heights native and Juilliard pre-college student studying violin with I-Hao Lee, attends the New Jersey Union County Vocational-Technical School’s (UCVTS) Academy of Performing Arts.

According to a release, the concert will also feature guest conductor Anthony LaGruth of the Garden State Philharmonic, who will lead the orchestra through works by composers from Russia, Finland and Poland.

The concert is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, at Livingston High School, 30 Robert Harp Drive.
