Livingston's 7th Annual National Night Out

Livingston's National Night Out will be Tuesday, August 4th beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Oval.

The event will begin with an opening ceremony at 5:30. At dusk, the “Movie Under the Stars” will be shown. This year’s movie, as voted on by Livingston’s children, will be “Paddington”. National Night Out festivities are held nationwide and are meant to increase awareness about police anti-crime programs that are taking place in communities. This is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships to make our neighborhoods a safer, better place to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community and provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. Emergency personnel from many law enforcement and public safety entities will be on hand to showcase their equipment. There will also be exhibits, safety demonstrations, and youth events. The event will offer participants the following free-of-charge: food and soft drinks, rides, face painting, balloons and carnival games for children, giveaways, live bands, a DJ, and anti-drug activities.
