Making the Transition from High School to College

On Friday, January 4, 2019, Dr. Liz Matheis, co-founder of Psychological & Educational Consulting LLC in Livingston, presented to the students and parents of Parsippany High School in Parsippany NJ on the topic of how to prepare for the transition from high school to college.

She offered a realistic perspective on the transition from high school to college and provided the forum for returning college freshman, sophomores and junior students to provide honest feedback about their adjustment to college, how difficult it is to manage time, choose a major, balance classes with clubs, sports, and jobs.

Both parents and students asked and offered their experiences. It was a lively discussion that will prepare the Parsippany High School Class of 2019 for their freshman year of college in September!
