Man Captured After Report Of Car Burglaries In Livingston: Police
Police responded to a Livingston home after someone reported a stranger trying to break into vehicles in a driveway.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — A man was arrested on four charges after Livingston police responded last Wednesday to a report of attempted car burglaries in a driveway.
Police said that on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 9:11 a.m., Livingston officers responded to a Morningside Drive residence on a report of a suspect attempting to burglarize vehicles.
A suspect fled the scene before officers could arrive, police said.

On-scene investigation and surveillance video led to the suspect's vehicle being identified, police said.
The information about the vehicle was broadcast to surrounding agencies.

The suspect's vehicle was subsequently stopped in Essex Fells by Essex Fells police, police said.
Livingston Detectives responded to the scene and arrested Eustace Weekes, 24, of Newark, they said.
He was taken to police headquarters, where he was charged with burglary, conspiracy, criminal attempt, and forgery, police said.
He was released with a summons to appear in court.
