Man Caught Shoplifting $2,200 In Items In Suitcase: Livingston Police

The Livingston police charged a man and woman with shoplifting after arresting them at Nordstrom, they said.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston police have charged a man and woman with shoplifting after the man was caught with $2,200 in stolen items from Nordstrom Rack, police said.

Police said that last on Friday around 5 p.m., they responded to the store at 530 W. Mount Pleasant Ave. on a report of a shoplifting in progress by a male and female.

Police say that they "ran into the suspect leaving the store with a suitcase full of merchandise valued at over $2,200."

The suspect, Percy Rojas, 27, from Paterson, NJ, was arrested and later charged with shoplifting and possession of an anti-shoplifting countermeasure device.

Adalia Cerruti, 25, of Paterson, was found still in the store, and was charged with shoplifting.

Both were given summonses and released, police said.
