Martin Luther King Day In Livingston: Closures, Activities
Town Hall is closed Monday. Get the recycling schedule changes and a link to a list of activities here.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — All Livingston Township offices will be closed on Monday, Jan. 17 in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Garbage and recycling will still be collected according to the normal Monday schedule, the town said. Any questions should be directed to Livingston’s collection vendors:
- Recycling: Waste Industries at 908-436-1966
- Garbage: RTS at 1-833-RTS-LVTN (833-787-5886) or Livingston@rts.com

The Livingston Committee for Diversity & Inclusion (LCDI) will host its annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service in two parts, including a remote cooking lesson to create food, then donate it to the needy. The two parts are:
- Virtual activities via Zoom and streamed to Facebook, and speeches to be streamed to Facebook and aired on LTV
- Service Project donation collections from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Livingston Town Hall, 357 S. Livingston Avenue.
