Livingston will bring back its annual tribute to fallen soldiers. Here's what to know this year.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston will bring back its annual tribute to fallen soldiers for 2024.
The township will hold a Memorial Day remembrance ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 27 at the Memorial Oval across from Town Hall, 357 South Livingston Avenue. The town’s annual Memorial Day parade will follow at 10 a.m.
In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in the Livingston High School auditorium, according to a municipal advisory.

TOWN CLOSURES, TRASH, RECYCLING
Livingston township offices will be closed on May 27. All offices will reopen during regular business hours on Tuesday, May 28.

Here’s what to know about garbage and recycling collection, a township advisory says:
GARBAGE – If your normal garbage collection day is Monday, your garbage will be picked up on the next regularly scheduled day, which is Thursday, May 30.
RECYCLING – Recycling collection for all homes in Livingston moves one day later all week. Therefore, Monday’s recycling (Zone 1) will instead be picked up on Tuesday, 5/28; Tuesday’s recycling (Zone 2) will instead be picked up on Wednesday, 5/29; Wednesday’s (Zone 3) on Thursday, 5/30; Thursday's (Zone 4) on Friday, 5/31; and Friday’s (Zone 5) on Saturday, 6/1.
