UPDATE: Millburn Cops Hospitalized After Crash In Livingston
The Millburn officers crashed into a Livingston gas station sign while responding to a police chase, authorities say.

A high-speed car chase indirectly led to a car crash in Livingston that injured two Millburn police officers on Wednesday, authorities reported.
The Millburn Police Department stated that two of its officers were involved in a motor vehicle crash at Livingston Avenue and Hobart Gap Road while they were responding to a car chase on Wednesday night.
A MPD patrol car was seen with significant damage next to a knocked-down sign belonging to the nearby Gulf gas station, NJ News 12 reported.

Emergency responders transported the officers to Morristown Hospital with minor injuries, police stated.
Authorities said that the officers were responding to a pursuit involving a black Mercedes Benz, which was allegedly seen driving erratically at a local mall. A Millburn police officer said that the Mercedes nearly struck two pedestrians and proceeded to drive towards the truck tunnel entrance, then stopped and reversed striking a mall security vehicle before fleeing the mall northbound on JFK Parkway.

The officer at the scene attempted to stop the Mercedes, but terminated the chase in Livingston when the vehicle increased its speed, Millburn police stated.
