This event has been celebrated annually in Livingston since 1999 with the theme “A Day On, Not a Day Off” and has brought together many groups in Livingston including our schools, religious communities, and service and civic organizations. The objective has always been to serve others by offering a variety of ways for our residents to contribute. Music and teaching Dr. King’s core principles of love over hate and direct participation in your community have traditionally been main parts of the celebration.
