New Open Mic Starts Tuesday In Essex County
The weekly open mic will take place at Mara's Café in Essex County. Musicians, poets and all creative types are welcome.

Starting on Tuesday, Oct. 20, a new weekly open mic will kick off at Mara’s Cafe in South Orange from 7 to 10 p.m.
“The goal of this open mic is to bring together a diverse array of artists, musicians, writers and more,” a release stated. “It will serve as a place where creatives and arts enthusiasts can gather weekly to share their work in a comfortable environment. All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate. All musical and literary genres also welcome.”

The event will be hosted by The Deafening Colors. The Oct. 20 show will feature a kick-off performance by C.R. Gennone of Tribal Days from 7 to 7:30 p.m.
