NJ Devils, Prudential Center Announce New Partnership With Barnabas Health

"New Jersey is where our families, employees, partners and fans call home," Devils CEO Scott O'Neil said.

Company representatives from the New Jersey Devils and the Prudential Center announced the formation of a new partnership with Barnabas Health as their “Official Health Care Partner” on Wednesday.

The announcement also included the unveiling of a new name and logo for Prudential Center’s practice facility, now called the “Barnabas Health Hockey House.”

According to a company news release, the agreement launched the Devils and Prudential Center’s Marquee Partnership program, which named Barnabas Health as a member.

“This partnership will allow both of our organizations to leverage resources to reach the youth of New Jersey and families throughout the state,” President and CEO of Barnabas Health Barry H. Ostrowsky stated.

According to a release, Barnabas Health Hockey House, one of only two NHL practice facilities attached to a main arena, serves 125,000 community members each year, including more than 300 participants of Hockey in New Jersey.

Barnabas Health also announced the formation of a Fueling Healthy Athletes and Sports Nutrition Curriculum, which will be rolled out and made available to all players, teams and coaches utilizing the facility. In addition to community nutrition and wellness programming, the health care system will partner with the Devils and Prudential Center for all youth and grassroots programming, including the Little Devils Youth Fan Club; the New Jersey State High School Ice Hockey Championships and the Devils’ annual Captains Night; Devils Dream Day Camps; Hockey in New Jersey; the Devils Coaches Clinic; the Devils’ celebration of New Jersey Hockey on Prudential Center’s main concourse; and the Barnabas Health Family Show Series.

The New Jersey Devils and Barnabas Health will also partner on a rink affiliate program that will bring youth hockey clinics and wellness and nutrition education to players and coaches at ice hockey rinks throughout the state of New Jersey, the company news release stated.
