NEW PROVIDENCE, NJ – Several local high school coaches will soon be recognized by their peers for their distinguished efforts on and off the field in early April.
The New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association announced their Hall of Fame and Coach of the Year nominations in a report released on Tuesday.
37 high school coaches will be inducted into the NJSCA Hall of Fame, while 31 additional coaches will be recognized as “Coach of the Year,” on Sunday, March 30, at Pines Manor in Edison.

“Each coach inducted into the Hall of Fame is a commendable teacher, leader and role model for our young athletes,” NJSIAA Executive Director Steve Timko said in the announcement. “They continue to set a good example on and off the field and these 2014 inductees set the bar high for current and future coaches throughout New Jersey.”
