NJ.com: State Senate Approves Bill to Abolish COAH

Bill passes on affordable housing.

New Jersey's Senate passed a bill Thursday that calls to reform affordable housing by abolishing COAH (the Council on Affordable Housing) and by moving control of the issue from the state to local municipalities, NJ.com reports.

The measure still has to clear the state Assembly and then head to Gov. Chris Christie for signing. The governor has said he will sign the bill into law, according to the report.

How and if this news will impact Livingston's affordable housing cases remains unclear at the moment.
