NorthJersey.Com: Livingston Woman to Head NJ Turnpike Authority

Hakim comes from MTA in New York.

NorthJersey.com is reporting that Veronique Hakim, a Livingston resident, has been tapped to head the New Jersey Turnpike Authority.  She will become the new executive director in September, agency officials announced last week, replacing Diane Gutierrez-Scaccetti, who is retiring in August.

According to the report, Hakim has held several positions at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)  in New York .  With that agency, Hakim has overseen major construction projects.
