NY Man Caught In Stolen Car In Livingston: Police
Livingston police arrested an out-of-state driver after he was caught behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle, authorities said.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston police recently arrested an out-of-state driver after he was caught behind the wheel of a stolen vehicle, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Livingston Police Department released the following details about the arrest:
"On July 15 at 11:15 a.m., Livingston police were alerted to a stolen motor vehicle that entered into our jurisdiction. The suspect vehicle, a blue Subaru Impreza with a New York registration, was located on East Mount Pleasant Avenue near the intersection of Shrewsbury Drive. A motor stop was initiated by Livingston police officers and the driver of the vehicle, Walter Szwed, 67, of Staten Island, NY, was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing."
Szwed was charged with receiving a stolen motor vehicle on a warrant. He was transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark, authorities said.
