The Lancer Varsity Bowling team, currently ranked No. 4 in New Jersey, captured the NJSIAA Group IV Section II Sectional State Championship at Jersey Lanes in Linden on Saturday morning. Patrick J. Genova, the LHS Director of Athletics, says the team will advance to the state overall finals next weekend. In additional to the team winning today, two of the bowlers qualified for the NJSIAA overall state championships: Brandon Gershon and Scott Sperling.
