One Rental Car Stolen In Livingston And 1 Stolen Car Found

In this week's Livingston police reports, a stolen car was found in a parking lot, and a rental car was stolen.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — In this week's Livingston police reports, a rental car was stolen from a driveway, and a stolen car was found in a hotel parking lot.

On Friday, Aug. 19, at 8:36 a.m., Livingston Officers responded to an Overlook Road residence on a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim said he parked his rental vehicle, 2022 BMW X3, in the driveway.

He said that when he awoke in the morning, it was missing. He told police that he believes he had dropped his keys in the vehicle. The Detective Bureau is investigating.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Aug. 23, Officer Ryan Collis was on patrol at 2:06 a.m. and observed a 2012 VW Jetta parked in the parking lot of the Westminster Hotel. It was punoccupied.

Collis found out that the vehicle had been stolen out of Secaucus, NJ several days ago.

The Secaucus police took possession of the Jetta for further investigation.
