The Livingston antique firetruck parade and Fire Department 100th anniversary events are Saturday, Oct. 8.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — A day-long celebration is planned for Saturday, Oct. 8 as the Livingston Fire Department celebrates its 100th anniversary, including a parade of antique firetrucks.
(The celebration was postponed from Oct. 1 because of Storm Ian.)
The events will start with a Fire Truck Parade down Livingston Avenue starting at 10 a.m.

There will be events at the Livingston Oval starting at 11 a.m. with rides and demonstrations as well as a beer garden.
Events will include carnival games for adults and kids, food, historic displays, and fire prevention demonstrations.

A traditional "Block Dance," like those held from 1955 to 1979, will be held from 6-10 p.m. Organizers will re-create the "Block Dance atmosphere," they say, with live music, line dancing, square dancing, vintage outfits, food, carnival games, and prizes.
The events will be held at the Memorial Park Oval.
