Pathmark Begins 'Store Closing' Sales at Route 10 Circle

Giant grocer on Route 10 is targeted to close April 15.

Pathmark on Route 10 is in full-blown going-out-of business mode and has begun clearing out its inventory. The Livingston grocery is targeted to close April 15 by the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. -- the Montvale-based chain that has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. is offering up to 50 percent off on groceries, deals attracting an impressive turnout of people flocking to shop Pathmark at The Village of Livingston over the past few days.

  • Sixth Avenue Electronics on Route 10 in Livingston closed its doors last week after defaulting on payments of millions of dollars to GE. Read more here.
  • March Madness: The University of Kentucky Men's Basketball team, playing in the NCAA tournament in Newark, changed their hotel plans and opted to stay at the Westminster in Livingston rather than Newark, because they wanted the players to stay in a calmer environment away from all the fans in the city.
