Livingston's 9 and 10 year old baseball players applauded their commitment and winning season.

Members of Livingston's American Little League team (9 and 10 year olds) were congratulated at Monday's township council meeting. The boys and coaches were presented with official township certificates to recognize their hard work.
"Playing summer baseball is a serious commitment," said council member Stephen A. Santola, who along with Mayor Charles "Buddy" August and the council honored the team.
This summer, the team was named the District 8 and Section 2 Champions and placed 4th in the New Jersey Little League State Tournament.

A few weeks ago, another Livingston Little League team (for 11 and 12 year olds) was honored by the township council.
"Livingston Little League has had some run for two weeks," joked Santola. "Since then we had one of our own alums get elected governor of New Jersey."
